A STITCH IN TIME
Do you have a spare wall? A library with an exhibition space? Or are you a gallery, in search of a thought-provoking exhibition?
Now available to tour – A Stitch in Time , a giant wall hanging, creaed by groups of women across Londonreflecting their thoughts and experience at different stages of their lives.
Women from Heba, Brick Lane, London, have created images reflecting their roles as women. The Asian Women’s Resource Centre in Harlesden have looked at friendship. Women in an Irish lunch club in Willesden present their thoughts on marriage. Click on the links on the right to see more.
The wall hanging was designed and assembled by textiles artist, Nisha Chadha, who led workshops with groups participating.
