Let's talk

We live side by side, harvest the same crops, shop at the same supermarkets and often share the same beliefs. Yet how often do we talk?
Too seldom. The migrant workers who harvest most of Cornwall’s crops and make up a large percentage of the workforce in the meat processing industry can be isolated from local people, and face prejudice and misunderstanding. Let’s Talk aims to change that.
We have created postcards, posters and fact sheets so that local people and migrant workers can communicate and learn more about each other’s cultures.
Fact sheets on Truro, and the main towns in Kerrier and Penwith, are now available to download. Click on the news link in the right hand column for instructions. Otherwise please call 020 9749 9010 or 0794 12 52 444. The original project was funded by the Church Urban Fund and was run by Bridging Arts with the West Cornwall Faith Forum.
