Srebrenica Now film - A Cry from the Grave

14 July 2005 6.30pm Salon des Arts, 190 Queensgate, London

… ‘A Cry from the Grave’ and ‘Never again’. Documentaries on Srebrenica by award-winning filmmaker Leslie Woodhead. Admission free. Pay bar.

‘A Cry from the Grave’ (104 minutes)…
follows hour by hour the story of the Srebrenica genocide. Through the testimony of survivors and relatives of those who died, it explores the pain felt when no one is brought to justice. There are interviews with investigators from the UN-sponsored court at The Hague and from the UN special prosecutor.

‘Never Again’ (79 minutes)…
asks crucial questions about what has happened in the years since the genocide. Has any degree of reparation been made to those who have lost their families? Has it been possible to bring some of the offenders to justice? Does the world care to remember what happened in the worst atrocity in Europe since 1945? Four of the survivors and relatives interviewed in ‘A Cry from the Grave’ appear – and their anger has not diminished.
