‘Postcards from the Grave’
by Emir Suljagić

Suljagic was born in 1975 in Ljubovija, Yugoslavia (Serbia), but spent his youth in Bratunac (Bosnia-Herzegovina). In April 1992, along with thousands of other Bosnian Muslims, he sought refuge in Srebrenica.

Against all odds he survived, while the lives of nearly every man he had ever known were wiped out. ‘Postcards from the Grave’, his haunting record of those terrible times, will be launched on Saturday 9 July at the Srebrenica Now debate. For an interview with Suljagic, click here .

Afterword by Ed Vulliamy, Guardian journalist and author of ‘Seasons in Hell: Understanding Bosnia’s War’.
Translated by Lejla Haverić.
Published by Saqi in association with The Bosnian Institute.
The book has 240 pp and costs £12.99
